The Motivation
Shawn Cox, the general manager of the prestigious Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club in Silicon Valley, wanted to upgrade the club's indoor/outdoor teaching and fitting bay with a practice surface that could accommodate his Trackman and force plate technologies for hitting as well as provide a putting area. Having worked with Fiberbuilt Golf in the past when he installed two tee lines at his former club, The Fairmont Grand Golf Club, he knew we could deliver a fully customized, premium product for Sharon Heights. We worked with him to develop a custom Performance Turf Series Combo mat to fill the dimensions of the bay, maximizing the hitting area and providing an adjacent strip for the putting area, complete with real metal cups. The new mat setup accommodates all of their needs and optimizes their practice experience regardless of the weather.
