Let's make your installation of Fiberbuilt Golf tee lines or mats as effective and easy as possible. Here are some tips for assembly.

Ground Prep

Outdoors
It is best to install Fiberbuilt Golf tee lines, mats and putting greens on a firm, flat surface such as concrete pads, asphalt pads, wood decks or patio stones, or firm, packed crushed stone. It is best not to install on grass as the mat will kill your grass and the surface under the mat will be unstable. If you are installing on concrete it is best to ensure that there is a 2% slope to allow for adequate drainage under the mat.

Indoors
Fiberbuilt golf mats and putting greens can be installed on indoor surfaces including concrete or carpeted floors. If installing on carpet you may notice that your mat will move slightly with the grain of the carpet while you are hitting. If this is the case, you will need to install some light duty two-way carpet tape underneath the frame of your mat to anchor it down.

Assembly

Parts Check
After you receive your product, make sure you have all components according to the printed parts & assembly instructions you received with your shipment. If any components are missing, please reach out to Customer Service so we can make sure you get what you need.
Review parts list to ensure all components were received
Lay down Fiberbuilt rubber base pieces to ensure proper placement
Test Placement
To ensure everything will fit properly in your space, it is best to first loosely lay down all the rubber base components where you intend to install so you can see exactly how your mat or tee line will lay out. We recommend that you do not connect base pieces with connectors or pins at this stage so it's still easy to move the pieces around until you've nailed down the final locations. (Tech Tip: It's best to connect with your flight tracking technology provider ahead of time to ensure everything lines up with the new practice spaces.)
Final Base Assembly
Once you have established the exact location of your mat, start placing the base pieces in their final positions, and connect them by putting the pins and connectors in place, starting on one end of the mat and working your way to the other end. (Connection Tip: Place pins loosely into the holes in the bottom of the connectors and then push them into the appropriate base holes. Then use a rubber mallet to hammer them into the holes. The pins will go completely through the holes to hold the base pieces together.)
Place connectors to connect rubber base pieces
Place hitting panels first, then stance and spacer turf
Turf Placement
Once the base assembly is complete, turf components can be laid into the appropriate base areas according to your printed instructions. For Fiberbuilt Grass mats, we recommend laying the Fiberbuilt Grass hitting panels into their base slots first so they sit clean and level in the base. (Tip: Push Adjustable Tees through desired holes in the panel prior to placing the panel in the base.) Then place the Performance Turf stance and spacer sections into their proper areas. If these turf pieces have edges that curl up after shipment, they will eventually relax and flatten. You can also curl them the other way to give them a head start. If the turf pieces extend past the frames at all, you can easily trim them with a straight edge and a utility knife or razor.
