The Motivation
True Temper's Golf division wanted to upgrade the hitting surface in its testing bay at its research facility in San Diego to get the best launch monitor metrics as well as have a great looking simulator area for shooting marketing videos. They reached out to Fiberbuilt because of the company's reputation for the highest performance mats with the best aesthetics. They ultimately chose to install a custom Performance Turf Series Tee Box to extend the full width of their 14' bay, and accommodate their future plans for overhead launch monitor technology. The clean looks of the single surface fit right in and the accurate ball flight metrics are fully supporting their R&D efforts.
