The Story
Scottie Pearman had been practicing outdoors on a Fiberbuilt Golf Performance Turf Tee Box, building his ball speed up to the point where he got to be world #1 on the World Long Drive tour. He loved the stability of the mat, which is critical for the amount of torque he generates with his monstrous swing. So when it came time to install a simulator setup inside his house, he knew where to turn. He wanted to have a hitting surface as well as a putting green with his Flightscope setup, and wanted to be able to accommodate both right- and left-handed players. He shared his buildout design and worked with us on a mat that would address everything he needed, extending all the way to the screen. A Performance Turf Series Combo Mat with a 12'x4' hitting area and 12'x10' putting area with two cups was the perfect fit. He's loving the new multi-purpose mat and now enjoying more than just hitting bombs!
